How NDIS Cover Works?
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is a comprehensive scheme which provides support not only directly to those living with a disability, but to their families and carers as well. This support is essential in order for participants to live an independent life whilst also managing their disability.
The NDIS enables people with a disability to have greater control over the supports and services they receive, as well as how, when and where these services are delivered.
NDIS support coordinators work with NDIS service providers to deliver the required support services. Support coordinators help participants develop their NDIS plans and coordinate the delivery of their supports. They also provide assistance if there are issues with getting the right supports in place. Together, participants, support coordinators and service providers work collaboratively to ensure that the participant’s needs are met and that they are receiving the right level of support.
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provides funding for a range of supports and services to eligible participants. Funding is available for a wide range of supports, including early childhood intervention, education, employment, daily living, transport and housing.
To be eligible for the NDIS, you must first meet the access requirements. These requirements vary depending on your age and location. Once you have met the access requirements, you will need to undergo an assessment to determine your eligibility for NDIS funding.
If you are eligible for the NDIS, you will develop an Individualised NDIS Plan which outlines the goals you want to achieve and the supports you will need to achieve these goals. Your plan will be reviewed on a regular basis to ensure that it continues to meet your needs.
You can receive funding for a range of different types of supports, including:
-Early childhood intervention services
-Therapy services
–Personal care and daily living support
–Community access
–Transport
